Dalian Agrochemical Engineering Technology Research Center was jointly initiated by Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences and Dalian Jingang Group Co., Ltd in August 1993, which gathered the best scientists in the fields of chemical pesticides, biological pesticides, and fine chemicals in China at that time. In December 1999, DICP and Dalian Jingang Group Co., Ltd. initiated the establishment of Dalian Chemphy Chemical Co., Ltd. on the basis of "Dalian Agrochemical Engineering Technology Research Center ". Chemphy has a registered capital of RMB 122.24 million and is located in Dalian Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of approximately 137,000 square meters. Chemphy is equipped with organic synthesis laboratory, kilogram laboratory, pilot laboratory, analysis laboratory, bioassay laboratory, production workshop, power workshop, automated packaging workshop and sewage treatment workshop.

The main products are 2,3-Dimethyl-1-butene (DMB-1), 2,3-Dimethyl-2-butene (DMB-2), fenpropatheric acid, zoxamide and amino-oligosaccharin.

Chemphy currently has about 300 employees, including 16 professional and technical personnel, and 17 with master's degree or above.
